πΏ Where in West Orange? Exploring Oakland Nature Preserve πΏ
This week’s WIWO took me to one of West Orange’s best-kept natural gems—Oakland Nature Preserve. Nestled just off the West Orange Trail, this peaceful oasis offers families a perfect blend of adventure, education, and serenity.
My visit happened to be during one of their unique seasonal experiences—a Firefly Walk! As the sun dipped below the horizon, the preserve transformed into a softly glowing wonderland. Children and adults alike whispered in excitement as fireflies flickered along the trails, creating a bit of real-life magic you won’t find on a screen.
β¨ Want to join one of these enchanting nights? You can find upcoming Firefly Walk dates listed on the Macaroni KID calendar!
